Grass-carp has heard through the grape vine that a libel action is to be raised against them, we say bring it on. We can't wait to present even more detrimental evidence against those named on here.
We would like to thank the observant person for spotting our spelling mistake (see comments), would hate to upset him or her by a simple slip of the pen so to speak. Seems they understood what we are on about and given all of what is going on is it safe to fish ???????? We would also like to thank that anon person for taking time to read our blog and keep us on the straight and narrow unlike some of the deviants involved in angling.
The Clyde Exposed
We are a concerned group of anglers who fish the River Clyde and are shocked at the way the fishings in some areas are managed or should we say not managed. Poaching is a major problem yet anything we report seems to fall on deaf ears. The Crown Estates who own most of the salmon fishings have failed the River Clyde by allowing some of their tennents such as the Avon Angling Club (AAC) and the United Clyde Angling Protective Association Ltd(U.C.A.P.A.Ltd) to control the salmon lease but yet break the terms and conditions of said lease namely failing to prevent poaching. Over the next few weeks we the 'Grass Carp' will attempt to expose all of the nonesense that has gone on and which we feel has held a great river from becoming a premier salmon fishery. We will demonstrate how the Crown Estates and the Scottish Executive have sat on the fence and allowed one angling association to bully others. We will direct you to various web sites where evidence of the underhand tactics of U.C.A.P.A.Ltd This site is dedicated to all of the anglers who care but who are not listened to, perhaps now that everything is being made public those in charge might get off the proverbial fence and do the job they are paid to do!!!! We ask that anyone with any evidence of poaching or failure of an association to protect the fish please let us know and we will petition those who should be doing something about it and request written replies.

Sounds like you've got people running scared here....and so they should be too with all the shenanigans that are going on!
Hi Jim,
Why don't you do more fishing rather than causing bother with other clubs.
Concerned Nethan Member
Hi
Learn to spell.
Liable should be Libel.
You Sad people, try fishing rather than spelling!!
In reply to the previous anonymous poster. If the most constructive thing you can do is to criticise someone's spelling, without even the common decency to let people know who you, this expert in the english language is, then please do spare us, (the truly concerned amongst us) the benefit of your expertise. Thank you. Jane Kirkwood (non-anonymous)
it looks like they seem to be some people visiting grasscarp that have background of legal jargon could it be police or maybe lawyer or ex as in both cases . grasscarp it looks like your are ruffling there feathers
Hi
In the last post, "there" should have read "their".
Ps how many of Grasscarp claim benefits?
Working Nethan member!!!
Seems you have an educated and empolyed Nethan member writing in to grass carp. As they state they are members of the Nethan then they should also state who they are as they are using the name of an association which anyone can do. For example I am UCAPA, AAC and MCAA memember and have permits for various other clubs. What has claiming benifits got to do with all this as there are UCAPA bailiffs on benifits. This is to do with fishing politics and nothing else but the last comments are obviously aimed at someone in particular but the writer does not have the guts to say who. There are many people on benifits who sadly got badly injured working and can no longer hold down a full time job, but who give up their time without pay to do what little they can help improve rivers every club has them. I also know that in some cases it has given some people the will to go on and has saved them from depression. Hope the writer manages to keep in employment they are indeed lucky to be blessed with good health. I am sure that many on benifits would trade places with them at the drop of a hat.
Or is this just someone who perhaps is not a member of the Nethan trying to stir things up?
I am not a member of the Nethan Valley but I intend joining grass carp should remove the previous comment but then again leaving it will just demonstrate who sad some people really are. Hope you guys can do something to save the Clyde fishings good luck to you. And to the people on benifits hope you find work soon and if your are disabled then I hope you have a contented life with as little pain as possible and thanks for trying.
Does the working Nethan member give up time to help the rest of the membership or are they just a malcontent trying to stir it?
Hope my spelling is ok !!!! if not forgive my ignorance and lack of education I'm sure everyone will understand what I am saying
sorry me again just noticed a couple of spelling mistakes in my last post. Hate for that well educated NETHAN member??? chastising me(hope that is right)
the words are benefit and member after MCAA.
In reply to working Nethan member, I see they are quick to point out the simple spelling mistake of another post. Must be great to be perfect but Nethan member does not say which Nethan they are a member of, is it the Nethan Vale Football Club, Lodge Nethan St John or Nethan Valley Angling Association? or perhaps some other organisation with Nethan in it. If they wish to critise others they should ensure total clarity when submitting a comment. Glad to hear that they are lucky to be in employment must have been their ability to spell that clinched it for them when they got the job,or perhaps they are members of the Lodge!!!!!!
I am not a member of any fishing club, masons or football team. My identity is irrelevant just wanted to point out that I am confused as to what Nethan they are members of.
Oh deary me! What a very sad individual. It seems my earlier posting was of no consequence to our resident, employed, member of whichever Nethan. Ah well, there's just no help for some people. Jane
I received a telephone call informing me that one of our members had posted a comment on this blog page so I thought I should have a look. We are keen to know who this supposed member is. I personally would have thought that it would have been more appropriate if they had had the integrity to come along to one of the associations monthly meetings and aired their views with the members and the committee present. We are in the process of contacting all our members asking if they are responsible for this comment as it is in very bad taste and that in future if they ARE posting a comment on Grass-carp they would oblige the association by leaving their membership number. This person should realise that they are very lucky to be WORKING as not everyone is on benefits through their own choice. We have one member who has suffered from cancer, a heart attack, a mini stroke, has arthritis and has also suffered a severe neck injury but still gives up time to help out, another is partially sighted, but does an excellent job as chairman. We know many people on benefits do not want to work but that is a different matter. What right does this Working!! Nethan Member have to criticise people on benefits until they are aware of the individuals circumstances !! We would like to ask Grass-carp to remove any comments from Nethan members in the future unless they have given their membership number.
L.DELANEY, SECRETARY N.V.A.A.
P.S As I write this one of our members ON benefit is out stocking the river for you.
I must apologise for my comment coming up as Anonymous but as this is my first time on a blog page I do not know how to change it.
L. Delaney, Secretary, NVAA
To the so called employed Nethan member I say this, you are indeed a sad ignorant individual. How dare you even question if anyone is on benefit! what has it got to do with you? Obviously your whole family and friends are all in employment and do not need to suffer the hardship of trying to live on the pittance paid to people by the government. I agree with the secretary of the Nethan Valley Angling Association in the respect that comments should not be posted in the name of associations or clubs when raising issues unless that the so called members have raised their particular grievances at a meeting.
How does employed Nethan member feel about the member on benefit out stocking a river for them. How much has this alleged member done for the association? if anything.
It is very apparent that the writer is NOT a member of the Nethan as they so put it, just check previous comments and it soon will be revealed that they have posted several comments which are all of a particular style.
Still Grass Carp must be having the desired effect in the fact that their blog attracts repeated visits from certain individuals. They obviously sit in their own little world thinking up childish snipes to post. It would fit them better if they got off their lazy arses and help those who do an amazing job for their chosen clubs or associations. Many of whom are on benefits.
To me they are continually (employed member)checking to see what Grass carp are saying as they are part of the rubbish that goes on behind doors and are checking to see if grass carp have exposed any more truth about them.
PS checked this with Spell Check so if there are any mistakes Employed Nethan Member can blame computer! Unlike previous posts hoping that they ( employed Nethan member) remain in employment I hope they get seriously injured and loose their job then they might not be so quick to make attacks upon the integrity or social positions of others
