Grass Carp have recently been handed a pile of documents relating to the LLAIA and boy do they make interesting reading. It is our understanding that serious criminal offences have been committed and as such we will be contacting Strathclyde Police with a view to securing prosecutions against those involved. However before we do that we intend publishing all of the evidence we have to hand to let you the angler see what has been going on. We will name and shame all of those invloved begining with Micheal Brady who is a law on to himself.
One example is that a camera worth £34,000 including software had been proposed for purchase from LLAIA funds and after a period of three years the camera would become the property of Mr Brady.
This is only one example of what is going on another is that LLAIA have been electro-fishing Clyde Tributaries for many years without an electro-fishing licence and removing (stealing) fish for brood stock illegally. Aparently they were arrested for this and last year they decided to get the appropriate licence.
We will post a copy of their constitution and then let the reader make their own minds up.
The Clyde Exposed
We are a concerned group of anglers who fish the River Clyde and are shocked at the way the fishings in some areas are managed or should we say not managed. Poaching is a major problem yet anything we report seems to fall on deaf ears. The Crown Estates who own most of the salmon fishings have failed the River Clyde by allowing some of their tennents such as the Avon Angling Club (AAC) and the United Clyde Angling Protective Association Ltd(U.C.A.P.A.Ltd) to control the salmon lease but yet break the terms and conditions of said lease namely failing to prevent poaching. Over the next few weeks we the 'Grass Carp' will attempt to expose all of the nonesense that has gone on and which we feel has held a great river from becoming a premier salmon fishery. We will demonstrate how the Crown Estates and the Scottish Executive have sat on the fence and allowed one angling association to bully others. We will direct you to various web sites where evidence of the underhand tactics of U.C.A.P.A.Ltd This site is dedicated to all of the anglers who care but who are not listened to, perhaps now that everything is being made public those in charge might get off the proverbial fence and do the job they are paid to do!!!! We ask that anyone with any evidence of poaching or failure of an association to protect the fish please let us know and we will petition those who should be doing something about it and request written replies.

I once read an article in the Trout and Salmon magazine that Mr Brady wrote re the fact that the Clyde Estuary was not being protected by other associations. It is my understanding that bailffs from the River Clyde Fisheries Mamagement Trust set up a joint anti poaching operation with Strathclyde Police which is ongoing and Mr Brady has continually refused to take part. Even the police cannot understand his reasoning. The guy is a complete idiot and it has been rumoured that he has approached various people trying to purchase fishing rights within the Clyde cathcment controlled by the R.C.F.M.T. clubs. The guy is a snake of the first order. He has even lied to the police about speeding offences which were caught on speed camera stating he did not know who was driving the bailiffs van. Given that there is only one bailiff and the fact that Brady drives the other van then it is not hard to work out who was driving, it was BRADY. Brady must be stopped he is nothing but a fraudster
I can confirm what fed up LLAIA member says as far as protecting the Estuary is concerned. I was instrumental in forming an alliance with Strathclyde Police on behalf of the River Clyde Fisheries Management Trust Ltd to launch 'Operation Salmo' which is now ongoing with bailiffs from the R.C.F.M.T.Ltd still activly involved, LLAIA were invited to take part in the operation and have continually refused. It seems that if its not Mr Brady's idea then he is not interested. He has the 'its not my ball so I'm not playing attitude.' The problem in the Clyde district is there are people with big egos and unless they are in charge they oppose everything that is positive. The Clyde should be in the top 5 Salmon Rivers in Scotland but with despots running angling associations it is miles behind everywhere else. Why can't we all sit down and agree to get on with the task in hand and bury old differences for the sake of the river as a whole? Anglers are being conned left right and centre and those in charge are a law on to themselves.
Hi,
Don't know of any £34K cameras.
Sounds like a fairy story by mentalists!!
Brady is like a Tick on the LLAIA sucking all the goodness from it. I heard he takes £20,000+ a company van and a whole host of extras. The members are to blame for this situation. Why did they let it happen.
